Education and training
The Institute organizes on a continuous basis, a series of lectures for the preparation of candidates for its own examinations and those of the Chartered Insurance Institute and the Life Underwriters Training Council. It also organizes seminars and panel discussions with prominent local and foreign speakers.

Examinations

Certificate of Basic insurance Training,
which is required by law for the registration of insurance intermediaries. The examination is organized in cooperation with the Superintendent of Insurance Office.

Certificate of Insurance Studies, which is at three levels, the lower, the higher and the advance. The textbooks used are mainly translations of CII textbooks into Greek and the examinations are moderated by the CII. The subjects are fully recognized as equivalent to the corresponding subjects of the CII, which grants three exemptions for the lower level, five for the higher level and seven for the advance level. As a result holders of the Certificates are in a position to continue their studies by taking the CII examinations.

Diploma of Insurance Studies, which is awarded jointly with the Greek Institute for Insurance Education for students from Greece, attracting seven exemptions from the CII examinations.

Life Underwriters Training Council, leading to LUTCF designation for insurance agents, which is internationally recognized. Since 2001 the LUTC has been consolidated with the American College, thus putting LUTC Fellows in a position closer to the CLU, ChFC and CPCU designations.

Certificate for Financial Advisers, granted jointly with the Greek Institute of Insurance Studies and recognized as equivalent to the International Certificate for Financial Advisers of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
